Hannah’s gesture lifts Tat Meng’s spirits – Badminton-News.com

PETALING JAYA: Former (BAM) coach Wong Tat Meng was touched after receiving a bouquet of flowers and warm wishes from Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh.

Tat Meng is still recovering in hospital in Sydney after a motorcycle accident last month and expressed his gratitude to Hannah and the National Sports Council (NSC) via social media.

“A heartfelt thank you to Minister of Youth and Sports Hannah Yeoh and the National Sports Council (NSC) for the thoughtful flowers and warm wishes,” said Tat Meng.

“It truly means a lot to receive such care and encouragement while recovering here in Australia.

“Your support gives me strength to keep pushing forward. I’ll do my best to recover and come back stronger.”

Meanwhile, Hannah wants Tat Meng to know that he was not alone as he battles to get back on his feet again.

“I wanted coach Tat Meng to know that he is not alone, not forgotten and that Malaysia remembers his contribution for sports,” said Hannah.

“We want to see him back on his feet. The flowers were a simple gift to lift his spirits.”
