Kanpur: Nikita Bhatia and Kandarp Khatri won the Under-13 girls and boys titles respectively in the Second Cosco JMD Under-11, 13 and 15 boys and girls badminton championship concluded here on Sunday. Nikita in the final outplayed Aarna Dwivedi by 21-11 and 24-22. Kandarp in the final drubbed Vidit Singhal by 21-2, 21-3. Shardul Khatri defeated Shrestha Shukla by 21-15, 21-6 in the final and won the Under-15 boys singles title. Atharva Yadav & Aditri Katiyar won the mixed title defeating the pair of Siddharth Pratap Singh and Paridhi Yadav by 21-9, 21-8. Khati brothers (Shardul & Kandarp) beat Hammad Khan and Vaibhav Tripathi by 21-8, 21-7 and captured the under-13 doubles boys title.
Cricket – Crazy Rangers outplayed Mayur Miracles by 7 wickets in the second qualifying match and sailed into the final of Cawnpore Sunday league for the Spark Trophy at Kanpur South ground on Sunday. They will clash with Patel Properties in the final next Sunday. Mayur Miracles batting first scored 185 runs in 27.2 overs. Lavish Srivastava was the highest scorer for them with 55 runs. Crazy Rangers in reply hit 187 runs for the loss of 3 wickets and won the match. Ayush Pathak and Ayush Shukla both contributed 55 runs each.
KDMA league – Host IIT drubbed Graduate Club by 9 wickets and collected full points in the KDMA senior division league match held here on Sunday.
