Two businesses have partnered to bring 11 sports courts to Katy.

Pickleball Katy and Schafer Badminton Academy will celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of its joint Katy location March 15, Pickleball Katy owner and manager Kevin Guo said.
The facility will offer memberships for 24-hour access to courts as well as day passes, he said. Additionally, the location will host both pickleball and badminton tournaments.

Guo said the indoor facility will offer a total of 11 courts, including:
- Six cushioned
- Five hard surface
Additionally, the facility features a bar with beer, soft drinks and snacks as well as a workout room, Guo said.
“We hope to encourage local residents to participate because this will be a great experience for them,” he said. “Besides playing sports, our facility offers a gym for strength training, a bar area for socializing, and an overall fun and healthy entertainment space. It’s a place where people can come together, exercise and enjoy themselves through sports.”
